Americans with Disabilities Act
New Mexico is committed to providing people with disabilities an equal opportunity to access and benefit from all our programs, services, and activities in compliance with the American with Disabilities Act (ADA) and New Mexico Human Rights Act.
To this end, it is the State Personnel Office’s (SPO) policy to provide reasonable accommodation to members of the public who require assistance accessing SPO programs or services because of a disability.

The State Personnel Office’s ADA Coordinator is solely responsible for addressing the accommodation needs of members of the public related to the programs and services that SPO provides. The State Personnel Office does not have the authority to hear appeals of or complaints concerning accommodation requests made by State of New Mexico employees. Employee accommodation requests are evaluated by the employee’s agency under that agency’s accommodations policy and procedure. If you are an employee of a New Mexico State agency and have a disability related question or concerns about a work-related matter, please consult your agency’s ADA Coordinator and ADA accommodations and discrimination policies. Employees of any public or private entity that suspect they have been discriminated against by their employer because of a disability should contact the New Mexico Human Rights Bureau or the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission for information. |
