Other Courses Available for State Employees

The Training and Development Bureau offers over 30 eLearning courses for State employees on the ELM system. Please view our ELM tutorials for assistance with finding and enrolling in a course.

In addition, the Training and Development Bureau offers series of courses bundled together for which a series completion certificate is available. Currently, there are three course series available:

Communication and Conflict Resolution Skills (CCR):

The CCR series is a program of study consisting of six eLearning modules and one instructor-led training. The training series will help State of New Mexico employees gain strategies to improve communication skills no matter what your career level.  You will learn and apply effective communication techniques and styles to handle any workplace conversation with confidence, from meeting new colleagues, to demonstrating your professional capabilities, to handling a difficult conversation or resolving a conflict. 

Career Success Foundations (CSF):

The CSF series is a program of study consisting of ten eLearning courses that will help State of New Mexico employees get off on the right foot in their careers, or review essential skills and knowledge to grow and develop as valued members of the State of New Mexico workforce. Topics covered in the series include developing business communication skills, demonstrating workplace ethics and integrity, creating a respectful work environment, building good work relationships, time management, goal setting and achievement, and overcoming common mistakes.

Essentials of Supervision and Management (ESM): 

The ESM series is a program of study consisting of nine eLearning modules and two instructor-led trainings.  The series is intended for those new to supervision and management, those aspiring to supervision and management, and for supervisors and managers who wish to review foundational skills and enhance their professional growth and development.
