Managing Employee Performance (SoNM-1082)
Managing Employee Performance (MEP) helps managers and supervisors learn to implement the Employee Evaluation Cycle, write goals that promote employee growth and development, and rate employee performance. The Employee Evaluation process is more than a mandatory review of performance; it’s an opportunity for you to ensure the success of every member of your team and the mission you serve. The MEP course is intended to support you in that effort. New Mexico State Personnel Board rule 1.7.9.9 requires the Managing Employee Performance course within 90 days of appointment as a supervisor or manager, but attendance is encouraged for any manager or supervisor who might benefit from the course.
Please note: Completion of Managing Employee Performance (MEP) is a required prerequisite to enrolling in any other instructor-led manager/supervisor-level class. The ELM system will not permit enrollment in other classes for managers/supervisors if you do not have an MEP completion on record dated Sept. 2019 or later.
