Essentials of Supervision and Management Program Reaches 1,000 Graduates!
The State Personnel Office Learning and Development Bureau is very pleased to announce that the Essentials of Supervision and Management (ESM) leadership development program has reached the milestone of 1,000 graduates as of August 2025!
These program graduates came from approximately 53 different state agencies plus additional judicial branch employees all across the state. The program, which is just over 3 years old, continues to receive overall excellent feedback and evaluations, with learners overall reporting high levels of perceived quality, relevance, and benefit of the program. The ESM program is open to current or aspiring supervisors and managers. Several participants have communicated their gratitude for what they view as the program’s contribution to their advancement into higher-level roles, and program graduates who are currently supervising consistently report that their learning has added significant value to their ability and confidence in carrying out their duties.
The State Personnel Office would like to express its congratulations to all graduates, and its appreciation to all the agencies who have supported and encouraged their employees’ development by completing this program. Each graduate has demonstrated their commitment to excellence in leading State of New Mexico government and advancing their State government careers.
